Security Assistants (SAs) are part-time student employees who are responsible for the night-time safety operations of all the residential colleges. The main function of a Security Assistant is to screen individuals entering the residential colleges between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., verifying residency and registering guests.

Security Supervisors is an internal position. They are part-time student employees who have been promoted from Security Assistant. The supervisor role is responsible for managing and overseeing the SAs and supporting their needs during overnight shifts. Only current Security Assistants are eligible for this position.
