Residential Communities

Focused on student success, living in a residential college offers residents the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of programs and events with particular emphasis on student belonging and cultural exploration, intellectual engagement, community living, campus connections, and personal development.

Housing & Residential Life offers on-campus housing in five residential colleges and the University Village for approximately 4,300 University of Miami undergraduate students. All freshmen students are required to live in University housing for two academic semesters, with the exception of those who live with their parents or guardians within Dade or Broward counties.

HRL takes great pride in its program and does its very best to maintain an environment conducive to learning and positive well-being. Offering fully furnished single and double rooms in all facilities, each room and apartment bedroom is air-conditioned and equipped with a bed (extra-long twin in the residential colleges and full-size in University Village), dresser, desk, chair, trash can, recycling container, and window coverings.
