Desk Assistant |

Desk Assistants must have a high degree of integrity and display continuous commitment toward customer service and the Desk Assistant position. The ability to interact with a variety of student, faculty, and staff personalities requires patience, use of initiative, and an ability to think quickly. An average shift includes greeting students, staff and guests, being a resource for anyone visiting the reception desk, as well as assisting with emergency procedures. Programming Assistant |

The Programming Assistant serves as a programming resource to staff and students and supports the educational, cultural, and social programs of a residential college. The core functions of this position are creativity, logistics, problem-solving, coaching, administration, and data analysis. The PA works with the Area Director, Assistant Area Director, Office Supervisor and Resident Assistants to engage residents through the on-campus experience. Resident Assistant |

Resident Assistant (RA) Resident Assistants are live-in student leaders who serve in our Residential Colleges Eaton, Mahoney, Pearson, and Stanford or in our Apartment style housing in Lakeside Village and University Village. They provide support, continuing experiences, and engagement for on-campus students that promotes community and success at the University and beyond. Security Assistant |

Security Assistants (SA) are part-time student employees who are responsible for the night-time security operations of all the Residential Colleges. The main function of a Security Assistant is to screen individuals entering the residential colleges between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., verifying residency and registering guests. Security Supervisors |
||||||||||||||||||
Security Supervisors are part-time student employees who have been promoted from Security Assistant. The supervisor role is responsible for managing and overseeing the SAs and supporting their needs during overnight shifts. Only current Security Assistants are eligible for this position. First-Year Fellow |
||||||||||||||||||
First Year Fellows (FYFs) are live-in student leaders who serve in Mahoney, Pearson, and Stanford Residential Colleges that support students with the academic transition to college, assist with general academic planning and advising questions, connect students to campus resources, and serve as an academic peer mentor. Virtual Information Sessions:All those looking to apply for a First Year Fellow position for the 2023-2024 academic year must attend an information session. In this session, you will learn about the position and have an opportunity to ask any questions about the application process and position.

Guest Experience Assistant |

This student position works during the summer with our Conference Services team as our core representative for all summer guests and is directly responsible for: managing the check-in/check-out, reception desk coverage, crisis response, and more. This position provides a great experience for those seeking a career hospitality/tourism management, guest services, or those looking to gain transferable skills for any profession. |
