The Housing Assignments Representative works with our online student housing applications to make room assignments and room changes. This position also responds to student and parent inquiries regarding on-campus housing. The representative assists students and parents to resolve on-campus living issues, including matters related to individual disabilities, sensitive issues, and those of a confidential nature.

Office Supervisor

Office Supervisors are full-time staff members responsible for the oversight and management of the residential area reception desks. They serve as a liaisons between the residential areas and a number of University offices, including Parking, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Facilities, GCA, etc. These supervisors also supervise reception desk student staff and oversee desk operations including mail/package delivery and cart/vacuum check-out.

Student Staff:

Conference Assistant

This student position works during the summer with our Conference Services team as the customer service representatives for all summer guests and is directly responsible for: managing the check-in/check-out, reception desk coverage, crisis response, and more. This position provides a great experience for those seeking a career in hospitality/tourism management, guest services, or those looking to gain transferable skills to become more well-rounded. Attendance at an information session is required to apply.

Desk Assistant

Desk Assistants must have a high degree of integrity and display continuous commitment toward customer service and the Desk Assistant position. The ability to interact with a variety of student, faculty, and staff personalities requires patience, use of initiative, and an ability to think quickly. An average shift includes greeting students, staff and guests, being a resource for anyone visiting the reception desk, as well as assisting with emergency procedures.

Marketing Assistant

Marketing Assistants work directly with the Marketing Specialist and are responsible for a variety of projects and tasks related to marketing, graphic design, social media, video production and other forms of creative content. The ideal applicant will have proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and is majoring in advertising, marketing, public relations, broadcast journalism or similar. More than just student employees, Marketing Assistants have the opportunity to handle projects from start to finish.

Security Assistant

Security Assistants (SA) are part-time student employees who are responsible for the night-time security operations of all the Residential Colleges. The main function of a Security Assistant is to screen individuals entering the residential colleges between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., verifying residency and registering guests.

Security Supervisors

Security Supervisors are part-time student employees who have been promoted from Security Assistant. The supervisor role is responsible for managing and overseeing the SAs and supporting their needs during the overnight shifts. Only current Security Assistants are eligible for this position.
